This Division is involved with research on the impact of pesticides on the environment, the ecotoxicology and efficacy of pesticides, pesticide residue and formulation analysis (Pesticide Analytical Laboratory), the control of pests of stored grain and oil seed (Stored Grain and Oil Seed Unit) and suitable pesticide application technology (Unit for Pesticide Science). Finally, the Pesticide Analytical Laboratoty is working towards international Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) compliant status under a Quality Assurance Programme. Several projects are specifically targeting and supporting the sustainable rural livelihood sector, or the second economy. The Division consists of:
