The objective of the ARC Training Services is to address the information gap between R&D and end-user and ensure that the ARC contributes significantly to the needs of the agricultural sector.

COURSES

The ARC currently has more than 100 short courses in 13 broad fields of study. These are also listed on a Course Brochure and a Course Catalogue which are reviewed annually.

• Scheduled courses
  Courses are scheduled throughout the year and clients may request and enrol for scheduled courses as individuals or as groups attending specific courses. Please contact trainingservices@arc.agric.za for more information on scheduled courses
  

• Adhoc courses
  Courses are also prepared for specific clients taking to consideration literacy levels and language options. A client is requested to enrol six (6) week prior to requested delivery date. 

 TRAINING OPTIONS

• ARC-venue Training Options
  These courses are delivered on the premises of one of ARC’s Research Institutes and farms. Currently, the ARC has more that 80 sites spread nationally.
  Please contact trainingservices@arc.agric.za to request a quotation for training for a group of 10 or more delegates.
  

• Client-Venue Training Options
  In a case where a client request that training be conducted on their premises, an ARC trainer will be sent there. The client will bear all the costs of travelling, accommodation and course delivery.

The intellectual property rights of all material relevant to this course shall remain vested in the Agricultural Research Council. This document, as well as the training (course) material, is protected under the copyright laws of South Africa and other countries as an unpublished work. This document, as well as the training (course) material, contains information that is proprietary and confidential to the ARC, which shall not be disclosed outside the recipient's company, or duplicated, used or disclosed in whole or in part by the recipient for any purpose other than to evaluate this quotation. Any other use or disclosure in whole or in part of this information without the express written permission of the ARC is prohibited.

COST

The cost, venues and locations of each course will depend on the requirements of the clients and the number of trainees. It is therefore important that clients indicate the specific requirements when requesting a quotation.
