ROUTE 1 : From the SOUTH or EAST via JOHANNESBURG
Follow N1 roadsigns direction WEST RAND, KRUGERSDORP, Magaliesburg and Rustenburg on the R24(old R41). 14 km before Rustenburg you pass Olifantsnek Dam(on the right) and then carry straight on towards Rustenburg passing T-junctions to Pretoria(13 km) and Kroondal(11km). Carry-on and CROSS the Hexriver (at Carl’s Bauernstube Restaurant - on the right) and 500 m on, TURN RIGHT @ the Arnoldistad turn-off..... 2 km on the right you wil find the WHITE PILLAR ENTRANCE to the ARC-IIC. See photo below.
PLEASE take note that this road on this route @ Magaliesburg (60km/h) and from the Derby turn-off to Rustenburg (80km/h) speedlimits are enforced by video camera.

ROUTE 2: From the NORTH, EAST, SWAZILAND and MOZAMBIQUE via TSHWANE (PRETORIA)
Follow the N1 or N4 roadsigning into Pretoria via Pretorius Street, and follow Beatrix Street, Proes Street and Vom Hagen Street. This will lead to the N4 TOLLROAD(Quaggaport & Pelindaba Toll plazas-TARIFF = R 4,00). Follow the signage to Rustenburg via Hartebeesport Dam.
ROUTE 2a: When passing through Tshwane/Pretoria along Pretorius Street on the west side of Church Square Square(after you have passed Paul Kruger Street turn right into any road and at the next intersection left into Church Street West and proceed in the westerly direction, R27, and the roadsigns to Rustenburg.
ROUTE 2b: When passing through Tswane/Pretoria along Pretorius Street on the west side of Church Square(after you have passed Paul Kruger Street) turn right into any road and at the next intersection left into Church Street West and proceed in the westerly direction and the roadsigns to Rustenburg. At the cemetary turn right and you can again find the N4 Tollroad signage or proceed along this route past The Produce Market and follow the Brits turn-off into Van der Hoff Ave and carry-on travelling west to Rustenburg.
ALL these routes 2 2a, and 2b will bring you to the Hartebeespoort Dam. Cross the dam wall. At the intersection west of the dam follow the signage to Rustenburg along the N4. (After the T-junction N4/R27 split the R27 is narrow, damaged and has potholes but a scenic route). The N4 route will take you past turn-offs to Brits, Mooinooi, Marikana and Buffelspoort Dam. Continue along the N4 until you enter Kroondal village. The speedlimit of 70 is STRICTLY enforced. After passing the SHELL petrol service station you pass over the Hexriver and TURN LEFT @ the Waterkloof turn-off. ...... 1 km along this road you will find the WHITE PILLAR ENTRANCE to the ARC-IIC. ROUTE 3:From the SOUTHWEST, WEST, BOTSWANA and NAMIBIA
When coming through Wolmaransstad, Klerksdorp and Potchefstroom follow the route to Ventersdorp, pass Derby and you will join the Johannesburg - Rustenburg route near Olifantsnek Dam.(For further details see route above) Via Lichtenburg you will join this same route at Ventersdorp.
ROUTE 3a:
From Mafikeng/Vryburg via Swartruggens you are traveling on the new N4 Tollroad.Exit from this highway on the east side of Rustenburg at the Magaliesburg/Rustenburg exit Turn right and follow the direction Magaliesburg fo 3.5 km and turn left at the ARNOLDISTAD turnoff……2 km down that road you'll see the entrance depicted below.

Via Johannesburg International Airport
At the traffic lights behind the PARKING AREAS on the Airport Property move rapidly onto the Tshwane/PRETORIA lane, R21. BEWARE of the SHORT and FAST 360 degree LOOP. You enter Pretoria/Tshwane from the south via PAUL KRUGER Street. Turn LEFT into Pretorius Street and you follow the further instructions as in any of the Route 2a or Route 2b provided above to Rustenburg.
Via SUN CITY International Airport
This airport is situated 8km from the SUN CITY RESORT. From the Airport property you can take any route to Rustenburg. The R 565 via Boshoek can be congested and joins onto Route 3detailed above - 5 km before Rustenburg. The speedlimits are video camera enforced.
The R510 is notorious for the stray animals/cattle(especially at night - they sleep on the warm tarmac) You will "pass" Rustenburg residential areas , cross the railway bridge and TURN LEFTat the traffic lights on the intersection with Van Zyl street ....you are now on the N4 and follow as Route 3a above direction Tshwane/Pretoria.
LOCAL Rustenburg Airport
This airfield is sited 5 km north of Rustenburg. No Customs facilities exist. It has a 2km tarmac runway and control tower. Storage, fuel and a small restaurant is available. It is also equipped for night landing. When you exit the property you are on the R 510. TURN LEFT.You will "pass" Rustenburg residential areas , cross the railway bridge and TURN LEFTat the traffic lights on the intersection with Van Zyl street ....you are now on the N4 and follow as Route 3a above Tshwane/Pretoria.
